  • Hooping 101

Hello everyone, I have a question that I know someone on here as got to know the answer to. OK, how do you hoop and item and know that it is straight in the hoop. My dilema is that I was a home embroider prior to changing over to commerical. I got use to havin the little registration markes on the sides of the hoop and having to use templates to line up and all of that. I know there has to be a better way of doing this to save time an money. Thanks for any information.

You can use a Sharpie permanent marker and mark your hoop at the 4 quarter measurements.

        Carolyn:

Why not make a template to mark your hoop. Cut a circle out the same size as your inner hoop and then fold the paper/template in 4ths and then mark your lines and then mark your hoop. If you have tile or something use that to line your horizontal and vertical lines so you can have things straight.

Hope that makes sense, not that I have done this as I haven't but it should work...I use a hoopmaster...
