  • I have a question!

    HI
    i saw a man print picture
    and attach that on cloth
    with hot press.
    i wonder how that works?
    do i need a special printer to do that?
    if it is i wanna know what kind printer
    can do work like that.
    anyone who has idea what that is
    i need your advice!

    There are quite a few on the web for sublimation and laser transfer. Some take special laser printers, some take regular printers but special ink.

        You can check out a yahoo message board....Heat Transfers for Desk Top Printing (HTDTP for short). I have laser transfers I can use with regular toner that holds up pretty well on 100% cotton and cotton/poly blends. There are ink jet papers as well. Sublimation requires special ink and 100% poly subtrates (there is a lot of discussion about treating cotton and blends but 100% poly is the standard). Both work best on white but you can do some with colored shirts just accepting the color of the shirt will affect the transfer color (i.e. blue shirt, yellow ink = green). There are opaque transfers out there but the quality is quite a bit less than the transparent transfers used for whites.
