It seems that my lettering lately has gotten very loopy. I am using MicroTimes CP, .28 - .30, on polos and woven shirts. Throughout the letters there are stray loops of thread, including the ends, and lots of little splinters of threads. And then thread breaks on top of all that. I run the machine at 800 max. I really need to have a tech come in - I barely use my second machine at all, it runs so poorly. I have warranties on both but I was told that the machine really needs to be "broken" before a tech visit that is under the warranty. I'm very regretful for having spent so much money on these and they are not working well at less than 2 years old. When I was at the AC show and saw so many machines running constantly I wonder what I am missing.

Call melco tomorrow - tell them your issues and schedule for someone to come out. There is no excuse to run these machines at 800spm. You are paying a lot of warranty money which includes yearly check ups. Have you ever had them done?
These are great machines and you should not put up with anything less than excellent performance.
Get a tech scheduled to come visit you!John Yaglenski

You might want to try running faster....they actually run better in the 1100 - 1200 range!

I had a feeling this was going to come up. The warranty Roland was reffering to is the extended warranty in which you pay a certain amount of $$ per month or year and that includes a yearly PIM (preventative maintenance or check-up_ and also includes parts and labor but I don't think it covers travel.
The 2 year warranty that comes with the machines does not include yearly maintenance.Aaron Sargent
Pegboard
541-727-1440
