  • Rotary Club logo?

Hi. Does anyone out there happen to have a Rotary Club logo digitized that I could buy cheap? I have a customer who needs to put it on 8 aprons and doesn't want to pay to have it digitized. Thanks!

I know that Floriani has it. Floriani Fun Club would get to him. I have seen it stitch and it does very well. It is also copywritten. Your customer is being unreasonalbe when you consider the detail in that design. It is very involved and isn't a quick auto digitized design.

Any customer that doesn't want to pay to have something digitized has already gone price shopping and found out the charge...or they wouldn't bring it up! They are hoping you will say 'no charge' and then they get it done cheaper than the other guy.
I've checked my files...the local rotary club has only ordered teeshirts and banners from me- never embroidered anything. They are pretty much defunct now..turning over a lot of their stuff to the Kiwanis club to take over.
You have 2 choices...pay to buy the file (or spend the time and do it yourself) and charge them full price-it's their job...
or charge tham a percantage, maybe 25% (or nothing) and hope you get all their future business.
Yes, it is copyrighted like all 'service club logos' but that does NOT mean you can't use it! I have sold Ad specialties, screenprinting, etc. for 25 years and been all through this. With only a rare few exceptions (Curve franchises and some others) ALL the organiziations allow the individual clubs/groups to contract for their OWN suppliers for goods that need to use the logo. NO 'home office' permission needed, just the permission from the 'head muckymuck', president, chairman, the person by 'charter' authorized to sign off on trade name usage.
What you CANNOT do with a copyrighted logo-is do 'personal' work- lets say the local Ford dealership orders 100 hats to give away. Yup, go ahead and take the order-its legal. Then the head of the service department wants the Ford logo on a heavy duty windbreaker he can wear on his boat. Nope...that is NOT 'ordered by' the dealership that owns the franchise. He works FOR them-but does not have the right to use that logo on something for himself. Now if the dealership orders 50 jackets to give to employees...THAT's a good order!
