  • Need help quick!

Back from vacation and need to get a vest out this afternoon for a client. Doing vest back which is made from Polyster and poly fill as well. Very thick vest but am having trouble with it slipping out of the wooden hoops...Any suggestions?

Thanks! Will post info on cruise hopefully tonight or tomorrow at the latest! Let's just say it will be alot of fun...

Try hooping with backing "on top" of the jacket, then cut a hole in the backing to expose the jacket and stitch away! I've done this MANY times and even use the same cut out backing on multiple jackets! Good Luck.

That technique works well on items that are prone to hoop burn.

That would be a great way if I could get the hoop stay it just pops out and will not stay hooped.

Try this, loosen your hoop screw so it doesn't take alot of effort hoop (only a very little), then tighten the screw. I do this all the time with the letterman's jackets I do. I also pull the fabric taut after first hooping (I'm dealing with a very stable fabric that doesn't have any stretch) on both the top and bottom!
