tips on getting closest Trim

Are there any tricks on getting the closes trim? im finding that im not getting as close as id like on trimming sometimes and the trim looks a little fuzzy. any way to ensure an unnoticable trim? im using the standard trim scissors. ive tried the thread trimmers too.

Depending on the garment that you are working on (use your judgement), my tech said that if you are working with polyester thread you can quickly run a lighter across the threads to get rid of any unwanted thread fuzzies.
