  • Lettering - Loose Stitching

I am working on a monogram and for some reason the bottom of the right leg on the H continues to end up with loose stitches. The Melco font I'm using is Copperplate and it is a 1-inch H. I'd really appreciate any suggestions.
    THANKS!

If the exit point of this letter H has not been moved, then by default, the bottom right leg of the H is the end of the stitch. Also known as the "exit point". If you do not have Lock stitches turned on, then there's a chance this letter H is not tying off at the exit point.

There are two types of Lock stitches: Tie In's and Tie off's.
Tie in's is at the beginning of the stitch and Tie off's are at the end of a stitch.
Lock stitches are several stitches very close to one another that, in effect, create a knot so that the thread doesn't unravel after the fact.

    Hope this helps.
