  • Placement Help-Side of cap

I am working on a hat order and the school has requested embroidery on the side of the hat. The hat is a Flexfit 6 panel. How far back/forward should the design be on the side. The design is 1.25" wide and 1.75" tall.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have already stitched a sample and I am not thrilled with the location. I was hoping to do both the front and the side without rehooping, given that I also need to put names on the back of the hats!
    Thanks so much...

    Hey Luann!

I would think you would want it centered in the side panel of the hat. So if you were looking towards the hat it would be the panel after the 2 front panels on either side.

Thats what I would do unless client says otherwise!...Good Luck!

Hoop the cap first. Then measure from the center seam back to the side where you want this part of the design. Go back to design shop and set your grid to match the measurement from the cap. Now you know where to put this part of the design. You need to treat the front and side as seperate entities in DS, position each one independently so to speak. When you bring this in to OS DO NOT center the design. Hope this is some help.
