  • Anyone using T-Quoter?

Thought id ask this question here since no response in the sofware section.

Is anyone using the T-quoter pricing and invoicing software? If so, is it worth the $1200? what is the preferred software amonst the veterans and newbs.

    thanks

I saw your post earlier and was waiting to see if anyone responded....
We have been running t-quoter for a while and are not using it to its full advantage. We just use it for order entry and A/R. We input our pricing manually. We don't use any of the other features such as work orders and tracking, pricing etc. The reason being the 10% or so of the program we use has been a little unstable. Alot of new versions to fix things that seem to create new problems. I keep hoping the latest version is bug free...I'm not sure we would buy it again. I'm also not sure if there is anything out there that is better.

      hi,

we use tquoter daily in our shop. We use just about all the functions. If you use it correctly, you can not help but make money. Personally, i like the program and cant wait to see the next version Brian is working on.

You need a program to track you actual shop costs, mark up garments, and figure profit and/or sales commission. At the same time, factoring in profit.

T-Quoter is the best program with the best value. PriceIt is much higher. Both programs link to Quickbooks for accounting requirements.

I noticed bugs while using the trial program. I thought it may have just been my trial version though.
I would hate to spend the $1200 and have ANY bugs in the program. any suggestions on another software?

I tried Fastmanager 2007, it wouldn't get pass the logon screen and after 2 weeks of trying to get ahold of tech support by phone and email I gave up.

I do like Priceit Master V7 from www.pricitsoftware.com. It's a little complicated, but the demo allows you to create 20 orders for testing purposes.

We use a a database in Filemaker Pro that I put together-has all of Alpha and Sanmar items we use 'behind it' at cost, then creates an invoice where we fill in the blanks-shirt size, color, etc. and quantity per size. Embroidery or screenprinting 'cost per item' is
either automatic (for screenprinting per color) or we have an 'override' box to figure embroidery per thousand stitch price.
Shirt prices are the same for either, but price is figured on a scale markup over cost by quantity needed.
I have it set up for Filemaker pro in Mac, as far as I know it works in PC filemaker also. You can totally customize any invoice page you want-they have 'templates' to work with or you can build them from scratch. We can even call up an invoice, plug in what the customer thinks they want for quantity, then go to a 'quote' page and show them how prices drop on that item with a higher quantity order.

I just bought the DVD on How to Price Embroidery for $200 and it is pretty easy as long as you have time to figure out every step you take and have been keeping a good set of books on your business. Gives you formulas and all the sheets you need to price your items...
