TTFs

Where is DS Pro + finding the TTFs? The reason I asked is that I installed a new TTF and it isn't showing in DS.

Make sure DesignShop is closed when you do this! Install the TTF files in Fonts (in Control Panel) Open DesignShop and the TTF will be listed as a font. Make sure you sew a test file of that font before doing it on a customer garment.

Ill add that the TTF fonts are found at the bottom under the Melco Fonts so you scroll past the Z in Melco Fonts and the TTF fonts will then start at A. You probably figured this out but just wanted to post anyways incase it helps someone else.

Just counted the fonts in my Windows/fonts folder, and I seem to be missing about 150 fonts that are not appearing in DS. I just installed one font while DS was NOT running, and DS is not finding it. I am running XT on a very stable system. So, what do you think is happening?

Have you rebooted your computer? That might be what it takes to get them to show up.

When I download a TTF and it sometimes is not there I have to go and find it and it usually is a file located under my fonts file if that makes sense. I then move that into my fonts file and whamo it is there and will then show up in my software...

You shouldn't have to restart your computer for it to take effect. Just DS. I do it that way all the time but it wouldn't hurt. Not sure why all the fonts aren't showing up.
