  • Chain Stitch

    Hi guys and gals,

I have a customer that has a Letterman jacket that has been done by another vendor. They want to add a line of text and of course would like it to match the existing text. I'm pretty sure this is the chain stitch type of embroidery. The best way I can describe it is the style that they used to use at Disneyland on your Mouse ear hats. Thick bold stitches in a cursive font. Do you think you know what I mean? Anyway, is there a way to create such a stitch on the Amaya?
    Thanks,
    Chris

This type of stitching is done using a Meistergram which is a brand of machine that specifically does only this type of stitching. I beleive it would be very hard if not impossible to duplicate this on the AMAYA.

Chris, I saw the message from Aaron. Disneyland does use the Meistergram. However, they must use something else for the chain stitch, as Meistergram does NOT do a chain stitch. They can only do a zig zag as the needle goes from side to side. If what you have is a TM Athletic jacket (you will find their label in the left pocket), it probably came from our shop - but that is not a chain stitch as we do have the Meistergram that we use for the fronts. We find we can match up lettering lines perfectly for adding new lines this way.
