  • Best Fabric Pens

    Hey All:

Need your opinions on the best fabric pens/markers out there. Ones that you couldn't live without. Markers that don't bleed when washed, come in a good variety of colors, have sharp points for precision etc.

One variety we bought from melco work fairly well but there are times we wished there were a little more color variety.

Our experience has been that the Marvy Fabric Fine Point Marker works well but that the Staedtler Lumocolor permanaent are absolute JUNK and bleed after being washed.

What do you use for those touchy touch-up jobs

This is just me....I use Sharpies to color in bobbin thread that bleeds through. VERY sharp tip, permanent, writes on anything.

I love sharpies but don't you find that they fade pretty darn quick - especially on dark colors after washing?

I haven't had any bad comments from my customers.... I hold it in the bad spot for at least five seconds to let it saturate the poly bobbin thread.

I have had Sharpies (permanent) bleed over time. I don't trust them anymore. I think the ones I have now are called Magic Pens or something similar. They work great, and have not had a bleed problem yet. Color selection isn't the best, but they cover the basics.
