editing a dst file?

I am working with DS Pro+ and I need to edit a dst file and change the density of the design but don't know how without changing to wireframe which changes the whole design. Is there an easy way of doing this? I really need help with this. I have only been doing this for a year. I should know how to do it by now.

Go to your tree and select the element you want to change the density of, then go to properties/scale. At the bottom you will see scale factors. This is where you can increase/decrease the densities. Check the status tab and you can see the increase/decrease in the stitch count.
