Cap Bills

Hello,
I have a customer that wants flowers embroidered on the bill, what is the best way to go about this ?

You cannot embroider on the bill once the hat is constructed. If they want enough caps, you can have them custom made with all kinds of goodies including embroidery on the bill. Try carolinacap.com or headwear-usa.com.

There is a source of 'heat seal' flowers, 'scrambled eggs' (yup, that's the military term for the gold vines), premade flowers and stuff-some of which is embroirdered 'mini patches' with the heat seal adhesive on the back. Not sure where to get it-but I know I've seen it in a flyer or catalog somewhere. That's the easiest way to decorate 'after' the hat is assembled and with the right heat and pressure it is fairly permanent.
Otherwise you need to find an overseas (or maybe there is still a US based ) 'panel program' hat manufacturer that sends you the 'pieces' to embroider or decorate and you send them back to be sewn into the finished hat. But I think you'll find the quantity is going to be several hundred minimum.

You can also find a company that will send you the panels to embroider on then you send them back and they will finish the hats for you. Sorry dont remember the companies that do this but I am sure if you do a web search for panel hats or something you will find one.
