I have only embroidered the unstructed caps on my Melco Amaya. I have a customer that wants a structured cap embroidered. Can anyone give me advice, as far as hooping this type of cap on the WACF? Thank You.

I think you'll find the structured hats easier. I've had a very hard time getting consistently good results with "unstructured" hats - so difficult that I've considered NEVER doing them or offering them again.

Several 'grades' of hat types...think of 'structured' to mean 'lined'
unstructured: like your 'stonewashed canvas hats, no inside liner at all. If you put the hat down, it just flops
medium structured: inside the cap may be an ironed on buckram or coarse thread 'liner' on the front panel. Hat can sit 'up' on it's on, but with some wear time, gets soft and doesn't stay stiff
full structure; inside the hat will be a very stiff buckram liner, or a plastic mesh liner. Hat has a definite 'face panel' shape-almost straight. Very stiff, sits high on the head unless you are a meathead like some of us....LOLComment
