270 degree cap embroidery

What is the secret to embroidering caps on the sides? The headband seems to be in the way.

I'm asking this on behalf of a member who does not have internet access right now.

On some hats, you can trim the little bit of thread holding the band to the hat. This will allow you to move the band without damaging that hat.

Then on other hats (after the customers approval of course), I've had to sew right through the headband to get the design on there.

Still others, I couldnt sew in one pass. I would use the hat frame for the front, then remove the hat frame and put on my slim line with the round hoop attachment. This allowed me to work on the side much easier.

Just some tips. Hope they help.
