Anyone have any tricks for Patches?

Hi all-

We would like to get into making patches, but not sure how to go about it. I would like to buy finished patch blanks and stitch on them. Any suggestions?

You can set up to do multiple patches on a large hoop since you
have to tack them down to a backing anyways. If you are thinking
of doing quantity orders and actually making money forget it...
too many production houses can supply you with 100 3 1/3" patches, 7 colors-70% coverage...for less than $1.00 apiece finished! No way you can compete with that.
Remember, you still should be charging the same amount for sewing that design as if you are sewing it on a shirt-same thread, same time...
there a couple of suppliers for blank patches with merrowed edges you can order from-I use Eastern Emblem out of NY ( I think on Long Island) but that was when I was screenprinting them. Haven't had anyone order less than 100 so I just pick up EMT Catalog and send the design in- 2 weeks later job done!
