Buying new designs - what format to order?

Hi, what is the best format to use when buying new designs? I tried EXP thinking it was a Melco format, and it sews but I cannot edit it at all.
Other choices are: DST,HUS,PCS,VIP,PES,SEW,JEF,ART3,ART4

I use dst. Just be sure to get the color list or you'll never figure out the colors. But hus works too.

I did a test using a design that had all 132 different colors that I own, and then converted it to every format that the Amaya XT will accept. What an eye opener. Most formats just will not handle that many colors. But dst accepted them all and hus was the second best. So I use dst and that works on both of my machines.
