  • Lettering - what type of stitch do you use?

Do you change the fill on letters? I have been changing from whatever fill the alphabet comes in to satin stitches. Now I am concerned the stitches will pull. Should you leave the stitch type as is? Satin looks so much nicer, but it's no good if it doesn't last.

You can change it. There is a pull down that you can choose fill stitch when you open the lettering box. (I can't remember which tab it is.) I think it says stitch type or something like that. My general rule is, if it is less than 1.5" satin. Over 1.5" fill. This will change sometimes depending on the garment and the design. You must use the proper underlay or the lettering will not come out right. VERY IMPORTANT!
