Monogramming on linen for wedding - any hints?

Hi, we have a request to monogram some wedding linens. Do you know of any places I can find guidelilnes for this type of work? Backing, etc? We'll do some tests first of course. Is there any reference or guide available for this type of thing? Thanks!
