Tweaking fonts: You can always tweak a font set that you like and save it as a regular ofm file. Then to use the letters, "insert" that file on your design and copy paste the letters you need. But it will never act like a real font. They will be separate letter that you will have to manipulate separately.
With the high end ver of DS you can actually tweak an existing font or make an entirely new font. This is VERY time consuming and not real easy, but it is doable. If you want to just tweak a few letters in a particular font, then I'd do it this way. And if you do mess with an existing Melco font, then make very sure that you save a backup or copy it to a new name because your first attempt will probably fail and you'll want to start all over once you learn more.
