I have an XT type 0 trimmer that will not trim at all. It ran 60 duffel bags without a hitch. ran a couple of other designs and then it wouldn't trim at all. I didn't hear any strange noises or experience anything out of the norm.
Here is what i have done so far.
1. cleaned and lubricated
2. replaced blade (while out cleaned some more and oiled)
3. checked push pull rods for any bends or kinks.
4. measured selector position and it sits at 1.5 mm
Everything seems to be moving as it should.
Should the selector be touching the blade? It seems to have a generous gap between the two and i was wondering if the thread was too much room and therefore was not getting cut.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
