strange noise during trimming on new XTS

Hi all, we just got our new XTS machines. This is my first day to run them and I noticed that right before it trims that it makes a noise...it kinda sounds like when you hit a low key on the piano. Its just one key punch sound right before or during the trim.
Is this normal?
I understand that the biggest difference between the XT and the XTS is the trimmer so i wasn't sure if it was supposed to do that.
