needle replacement
There has got to be an easier way to replace needles on my Amaya XT than trial and error. I am so frustrated because I cannot get the needle exactly right so it doesn't break the thread. Please help

I use the needle through the needle eye trick.
Get a hand sewing needle -- the thinnest you can find. Stick the eye of that needle into a pencil eraser.
When setting needles, put the tip of the hand sewing needle through the eye of the new machine needle. You can now square it off easily by comparing where the shaft of the needle through the pencil is.

I had the same issue when I started, and as I get older it just gets worse.
The solution I have found is a magnet that is 1"long by 1/8th inch cylinder
it applied to the needle channel displays ti needles orientation perfectly.
I will attach a photo if I can.
I cant seem to add the file to the site
If you would like to see I can send it to you.
