  • rotary hook

I'm getting a new little noise from the front of my older red AMAYA I think it may be a rotary hook.
It is sewing fine just like a bearing slightly making noise.

    Any thoughts?

Did you check the retaining finger to make sure it’s a) not loose and b) properly gapped?

I have one of the old reds, that the bearings are definitely going bad, it makes
a horrible squealing sound right behind the bobbin case and also at the base
of the machine where the Z shaft goes into the back and connects to the motor.

The bearings seem pretty cheap but not sure what kind of process it is
to change them. one minute they scream the next nothing, but the screaming is on the rise and getting worse. I'll be that's what your problem is too.
