  • Machine physically not centering

    Hi,

Our older Amaya XT (Red) is phyiscally not centered in the hoop. The design is centered in the software / frame. I have the correct frame selected and installed. I have told the machine to center the design and it moves. But it thinks the center of the hoop is about 1/2" to the right of center.

If I move the machine using the control panel to the far right and far left. It goes past the hoop frame to the right and does not even get close to the hoop edge when I go left.

It sounds like your optical sensor for the X carriage may have grease or lint on it. Have you recently performed maint on it?

Move the carriage to the right and wipe the sensor clean. Its located under the Y Beam assy.

Call me if you have any questions.

      Fixed.

      I turned the machine off.
Then I moved it by hand to the center.
Then I turned it back on.

It's operator error...you didn't follow the fine print in the owner's manual about 'leaving a beer on the machine table each night for the little man inside that actually does all the work'....
and you thought there was a computer that did it all...LOL...

Thanks, I cleaned off that sensor also. Nice to know so I can do that on my other machines too.
