  • Can i use the mighty hoop for a polo?

I am embroidering a logo on several hundred polos - 100% polyester OGIO. Some of the polos are very small and I cannot fit the logo without hooping in the button placket, which the plastic round hoops I'm using will not hold. I was wondering if anyone has used the Mighty Hoop with shirts like this. I was hoping that I would be able to hoop with the button placket so I can fit the logo.
My only other option I can think of would be to make the logo smaller.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank You!

Yes you can us a mighty hoop on these. You may want to slow your stitching down some.

I would hoop the shirt with the mighty hoop. (always)
But I would not hoop the buttons, hoop so the buttons are not in the hoop.
and move the design in the hoop to the correct location.

I am wondering what the reason for not hooping the buttons in the mighty hoop are. My problem is the ladies fit of this polo has an extra seam running down the shoulder which shortens the field for my logo- I don't want to sew over the second seam since it wouldn't look right. I cannot seem to get close enough to the button placket in the plastic round hoops to sew closer to the buttons. Do you think it would be easier to hoop closer to the button placket with mighty hoop versus the round plastic hoop?

          Thank you for any help

yes it would be easier with the mighty hoop.
I would not have the buttons pinched in any hoop.
it would allow the material to distort during sewing.
the mighty hoop would not care if the buttons were hooped
it may just allow the material to move.
you should not be placing the logo right next to the placket
there should be enough room to hoop and reposition for proper placement.
your making this more complicated then needed.
