  • Hooptech hat frames

Just got these today. The Gen 2 frames seems to sit high off of the throat plate. That causes a lot of bouncing and not the best quality sew. Anyone have this issue or ideas?

I think only one other user here has purchased them and posted.

The Gen2 extreme offers the best savings out of all the packages we offer. You will receive 2 Gen2 Cap Frames and TBar framing gage as well as a compact back of cap clamp. Get ready to push your old cap frames aside and actually feel excited to hoop your hats! This Package Includes: 2 Gen2 Cap frames 1 TBar Framing Gage 1 Compact back of cap frame We have Gen2 Cap Frames to fit all major machines including: Tajima, Melco, Toyota, Barudan Advantage, ZSK, Meistergram, Happy, Highland, Inbro, SWF, Podigi

Assuming you are not using a raised needle plate (not even sure machines come with those like the reds did anymore).

Have you called and talked to HoopTech?

We did just buy a cap back frame and I noticed it sat a little higher but didn't have issues with sew quality.

I have been trying to get this to work. Melco appears to have the Y Dimension too small in the hoop database. I have asked them twice. The first time the tech agreed that it was not correct and would get someone to fix it. They never have. The sew field for the Graphite WACF is about 1/2" taller. That just doesn't seen right. The main reason I wanted to try this is because of the lever they have on the on the framing gauge which is great. But, it is not worth it if I loose sew field area.
