What does the back look like? Could this be caused by your bobbin thread not being caught? Is your bobbin detect on? Are you getting any false bobbin break messages? How many clicks up is your presser foot?

When Mama Kass speaks up about metallic thread embroidery...it is time to sit up and pay attention...period!! I have personally witnessed what she can do with complex embroidery using metallic thread and it is truly amazing....it has the "WOW" factor for sure!!!

Other than that...more information is needed ----machine speed, auto or standard mode, auto lower limit setting. bobbin tension, machine lubrication, Amaya, XT, XTS, EMT 16 ?? etc, etc....

Glad to hear you fixed it. Getting the presser foot height correct with velvet can be difficult. The idea is to set it as low as you can without damaging the velvet. Rod, my face is red!
