  • dst files

    I bought a curlz font from embroiderydesigns.com.
Could not get it in .cnd so I ordered it in .dst. After unzipping the files, I can put my cursor over one of the files & it shows a .dst file extension. But when I open it in DS it opens an .exp file that I can't edit. They even emailed me the .dst files but it does the same thing. I am still using OS ver 7. What am I missing? Thanks! Dianne

That is because a dst and an exp are both expanded files.

For you to edit one of these files you easily, you will need to convert it to a wireframe format, ie, if your level of software will give you that option. A cnd file project tree looks like an expanded file that has been converted to wireframe....

I don't think my DS version will let me convert to wireframe. Is there another file extension I can buy that will not be an exp? Thanks!

I have many designs from embroiderydesigns.com. I always download the pes versions, and Design Shop easily converts automatically to ofm. You may want to give that a try.
