  • needle bar

Evening all. I seem to have one needle bar that I think is hitting the back black bar of the trimmer. It makes a slight clacking sound when sewing. what procedure do I need to do to adjust this needle?

    Thanks

I had this same issue and Melco tech support had me adjust bobbin tension. I thought he was crazy, but this actually worked. Just a thought.

      Cindy,
By black bar you mean the "grabber trap" portion of the thread grabber system???
Chances are that it's the back side of the presserfoot that's hitting it. And hopefully it's either needle's 1 or 16. If not, I have no idea what you're talking about.
If it is either needle 1 or 16, then I'll bet your grabber trap (black bar) is bent and needs to be bent back straight across- inline with your needlecase.
      Hope this helps.
