Needle is down...and out

Help, my machine was sewing and it stopped in the down position. Not sure how to get it back up and restart. Nothing is responding. Error says Machine had detached or something similar.

Any ideas? I just cleaned the machine and it may not have been put back together properly but I can get the needle up and the garment out to fix it or check it.

Turn it off and then back on- give it time to find where it was in the design (wait till it stops moving). OS may show that the design is on stitch "0", but the computer in the machine should remember where it was. Now do a head- up if the machine won't start, then start the machine- it should start right where it left off.
